COACHING

We all have the power to shape our lives by moving towards beauty, meaning and possibility. The journey is dazzling and sometimes overwhelming; speaking with another person can make it easier.

In my coaching, I make use of creative techniques to spark discovery, and focus on identifying new empowering narratives and long-lasting solutions. I work from a framework of appreciation of what is working and of imagining what is possible. This is in direct opposition to the vision that our lives are defined by a never-ending list of problems. Hiding behind what we commonly name "problems" are unmet needs, new opportunities and discoveries.

Progress accomplished in the coaching process is shaped by the coachee’s values, criteria and desires. Instead of offering advice, I seek to help you connect with the vastness of your experiences and strengths.

1. Send me message on the contact page of this site, introducing yourself and explaining why you would like to enter a coaching process at this moment.

2. I will reach out to organize a free one hour introductory call or meetup. If I am unavailable, I will reply regardless and recommend other coaches to connect with.

3. During the introductory call, we'll explore your current needs, answer any questions you may have and discuss fees. We both decide whether we would like to enter the coaching process together.

4. A coaching agreement is ratified.

Frequently   asked   questions

WHAT  IS  THE  DIFFERENCE  BETWEEN  A  COACH  AND  A  PSYCHOLOGIST?

Generally speaking, a psychologist diagnoses and treats mental disorders found within The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM). This often involves significant exploration of the past. A coach focuses on the present and the future, although conversations may touch on the past, often as a means of better understanding the present. Some coaches are members of international bodies such as ICF that have developed codes of ethics.

WHY  IS  COACHING  OFTEN  SO  EXPENSIVE?

Coaches have spent years developing the emotional intelligence and the techniques necessary for their craft. The money paid for coaching sessions recognizes this as well as the energy and focus of the coach. Furthermore, paying money ensures there is a level of engagement and interest in the process. If money is a barrier to you, I am delighted to discuss other forms of exchange.

IS  COACHING   SiMPLY  THE   MONETIZATION   OF  HUMAN  SUPPORT?

I believe that everyone should have access to the support we all so deeply need. Coaching does not seek to replace the existence of nurturing relationships, and remains a service, albeit one that allows for a deep level of intimacy and attention. While a coach may offer emotional support, the primary goal remains helping the client move towards their desired objectives.
